Beleive it or not there is a considerable volume of literature on the psycholoical relationship between far right politics and excreta. It’s very freudian and I won’t bore you with the detail, suffice to say at one time it was beleived that turn of the century toliet training practices in eastern europe were responsible for the rise of authoritarian politics in the first half of the 20th C.
