London Cabbie

A candid camera shot of a cabbie
I spotted this gentleman at Trafalgar Square, reading the Evening Standard, while he waited for a set of traffic lights to turn green. I wonder if he reads the paper at every junction, or whether he knows which lights have a long enough delay to allow him to get through the leaders without interuption?

  1. I used to be a cycle courier. After a few months, you not only know how long each set of lights takes to change, but the precise order in which they change at even the most complex junctions (say, Bank) and when it'll soon be time to replace all the bulbs. What with that and existential philosophy to ponder, those wet winter days just flew by.
